(<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mysuncoast.com\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.mysuncoast.com\/\">WWSB<\/a>) &#8211; A driver was airlifted to a hospital after their sedan and a semi truck collided in a predawn crash on I-75 in Charlotte County Sunday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">According to Charlotte County Public Safety, the crash happened about 5:45 a.m. in the southbound lanes near Tucker\u2019s Grade. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">When first responders arrived, they discovered the injured driver trapped inside the vehicle. It took firefighters 30 minutes to cut away enough of the wreckage to free them.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The victim was flown by helicopter to a hospital for treatment.<\/p>\n<p>Copyright 2026 WWSB.
