With no family or friends available to take him in, he is looking for someone who enjoys a talkative companion. Shelter staff say Odie likes attention and being petted and could make a good lap cat. At 16 pounds, he would benefit from reaching a healthier weight.\n<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">Della is a 7-year-old American Staffordshire terrier mix who weighs 64 pounds. She enjoys leisurely walks, stopping to sniff the grass, and is quick to offer kisses and snuggles. As a Pet Project-sponsored pet, Della will receive free food, vaccines, and monthly preventive care, along with reduced-cost veterinary care for the rest of her life after adoption.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">Both pets have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. Their adoption fees are waived; adopters pay a $25 Broward County pet registration fee.\n<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">You can meet Odie and Della at Broward County Animal Care, 2400 SW 42nd St. in Fort Lauderdale.
