ORLANDO, Fla. \u2013 The chill<\/a> has started early in Florida. First for Halloween<\/a>, and now in early November.<\/p>\n

So does this mean the winter of 2025-26 will be a cold one in Central Florida?<\/p>\n

Not so fast.<\/p>\n

If you\u2019re a fan of the cool weather, the first half of winter will likely be your best bet to feel some.<\/p>\n

From an average temperature perspective, December will likely be pretty close to average with a couple of bouts of cold air counteracted by the return of unseasonably warm air.<\/p>\n

By the time the middle of January rolls around, the warmth looks to takeover and not let go.<\/p>\n

The above-normal temperatures likely surge into February.<\/p>\n

When you average the temperatures of December, January and February, the winter of 2025-26 will likely come out to be above average, even with a few December cold snaps.<\/p>\n

By the time we get to spring, parts of Central Florida will likely be on drought watch as below normal rainfall is also anticipated.<\/p>\n

La Ni\u00f1a will be the main driver of the weather pattern across the Southeast U.S.<\/p>\n

That pattern typically brings warmer and drier weather to the region, but it doesn\u2019t always work out like this.<\/p>\n

The La Ni\u00f1a for the upcoming winter will be a weak one and therefore could be \u201cbullied\u201d by other large-scale weather phenomenon. <\/p>\n
