A 46-year-old man found dead in a vehicle Sept. 17 was reported missing a day earlier, and appears to have died of natural causes, according to Port St. Lucie Police.<\/p>\n
An officer conducting patrol came across the body of the man, identified as Cedric Gerald, of Southwest Voyager Street in Port St. Lucie, in a parking lot in the 2800 block of Southwest Port St. Lucie Boulevard, according to police.<\/p>\n
Police Sept. 22 reported Gerald appears to have died of natural causes, but toxicology results are in the process of being completed, said Officer Brittany McNally, police spokesperson.<\/p>\n

Gerald’s 49-year-old sister on Sept. 16 reported him missing, a police report shows.<\/p>\n
She told police he had not been seen or heard from since about 1:21 p.m. Sept. 12.<\/p>\n
She said Gerald had been in Tampa visiting a friend and left to return to Port St. Lucie. He called at 1:21 p.m. to tell her he ran out of gas and was stopping at a gas station. He wasn’t heard from again, and his phone went to voicemail, she said.<\/p>\n
