Miami drivers are paying less at the pump this week, but not everyone is feeling the relief.<\/p>\n
According to GasBuddy\u2019s weekly survey of 1,690 stations in the Miami area, average gasoline prices fell 12.4 cents per gallon, bringing the countywide average to $2.87 today.<\/p>\n
That\u2019s 8.4 cents lower than a month ago and 21.6 cents lower than a year ago.<\/p>\n
But on Key Biscayne, prices remain among the highest in Miami-Dade County, with both island stations listed at $4.49 per gallon as of Sunday, according to GasBuddy\u2019s report. The cheapest station in the county, by comparison, was priced at $2.54.<\/p>\n
Nationally, the average price of gasoline rose 4.8 cents in the past week, reaching $3.03 per gallon.<\/p>\n
Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy, noted that holiday travel patterns could impact future prices.<\/p>\n
\u201cWith thousands of flight cancellations ahead of Thanksgiving due to the FAA flight cuts, there could be slight shifts in gasoline demand, which may limit any near-term declines,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
