(WSVN) &#8211; One person is in custody after Miami-Dade Sheriff\u2019s Office deputies responded to reports of shots fired, according to authorities.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Deputies said that traffic in and around the airport may be impacted, as traffic is being diverted to the arrivals level.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">7Skyforce hovered over the affected area of Miami International Airport and captured multiple police vehicles and officers at the scene.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to Miami International Airport officials, the departure levels from doors 12 to 17 and the outer lanes of the departure level roadway have been closed due to Miami-Dade Sheriff\u2019s Office activity.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They also said that all passengers and employees are safe, and no injuries were reported.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Cameras also captured the road closure being lifted as traffic moved through the area.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The airspace of the area has also been closed off to helicopters as well.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">An investigation is currently ongoing.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Please check back on WSVN.com and 7News for more details on this developing story.<\/p>\n<p>Copyright 2026 Sunbeam Television Corp.
