ORLANDO, Fla. \u2014 A fall front is moving through Central Florida on Thursday, bringing scattered showers, gusty winds and rough surf along the coast before ushering in a noticeable change in temperatures.<\/p>\n
Showers will be scattered and fast-moving, with the greatest chance of rain near the coastline. Winds will also increase throughout the day, with gusts of 30 to 35 mph possible at local beaches.<\/p>\n
Those stronger winds will create poor boating conditions and dangerous surf. <\/p>\n
Several advisories are in effect near the coast, including a Small Craft Advisory, High Surf Advisory, Coastal Flood Advisory and warnings about dangerous rip currents.<\/p>\n
Officials are discouraging people from entering the surf over the next couple of days because of the hazardous conditions.<\/p>\n
The front isn\u2019t all bad news, though. <\/p>\n
Drier and cooler air will begin moving in as early as Thursday night, setting the stage for a taste of fall across Central Florida.<\/p>\n
About half of Central Florida could wake up to temperatures in the 60s Friday morning. <\/p>\n
Those cooler temperatures will become more widespread heading into the weekend, with all of Central Florida expected to wake up to 60s. <\/p>\n
A few locations in Marion County could even dip into the 50s.<\/p>\n
