{"id":409214,"date":"2026-09-24T12:40:08","date_gmt":"2026-09-24T12:40:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/409214\/"},"modified":"2026-09-24T12:40:08","modified_gmt":"2026-09-24T12:40:08","slug":"coastal-flood-and-high-surf-advisories-as-1st-cold-front-appears-orlando-sentinel","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/409214\/","title":{"rendered":"Coastal flood and high surf advisories as 1st cold front appears \u2013 Orlando Sentinel"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>One Central Florida county is under a flood advisory as other Atlantic beaches are under a high surf advisory.<\/p>\n<p>A cold front bringing increased winds is building seas at above-normal waters levels at the coast in the evening and Friday morning, according to NWS Melbourne.<\/p>\n<p>Volusia County was issued a flood advisory for Thursday afternoon and evening.\u00a0Minor to moderate flooding of low-lying lots, parks docks and roads can occur near the shoreline.<\/p>\n<p>A high surf advisory, in addition to a high risk of rip currents, has been issued for all Atlantic beaches.
