ST. LUCIE COUNTY, Fla. (CBS12) \u2014 With temperatures expected to drop below 40 degrees overnight, St. Lucie County and the City of Fort Pierce are opening an emergency cold weather shelter at the Percy Peek Gym in Fort Pierce.<\/p>\n
The shelter will be operated by the organization \u2018In the Image of Christ,\u2019 a community nonprofit that partners with the county when temperatures fall below 40 degrees for more than four hours.<\/p>\n
