{"id":409494,"date":"2026-09-24T18:30:12","date_gmt":"2026-09-24T18:30:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/409494\/"},"modified":"2026-09-24T18:30:12","modified_gmt":"2026-09-24T18:30:12","slug":"2-dead-after-fiery-corvette-crash-in-davie","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/409494\/","title":{"rendered":"2 dead after fiery Corvette crash in Davie"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"text text--small text--normal text--primary\">Published:\u00a0September 24, 2026 at 7:15 AM<\/p>\n<p class=\"text text--small text--normal text--primary\">Updated:\u00a0September 24, 2026 at 12:41 PM<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">DAVIE, Fla. \u2014 Two people were killed in a fiery crash in Davie early Thursday morning.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.local10.com\/espanol\/2026\/09\/24\/corvette-se-estrella-contra-un-poste-y-arde-dos-muertos\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.local10.com\/espanol\/2026\/09\/24\/corvette-se-estrella-contra-un-poste-y-arde-dos-muertos\/\">Leer en espa\u00f1ol<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">It happened at around 4:45 a.m. in the 6500 block of Nova Drive, near College Avenue.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Officials said two cars were involved. A Chevrolet Corvette was sent into a utility pole and his or her car caught fire. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">\u201cThe fire was about as high as the wires. It was pretty high,\u201d witness Joe Digineiro said. \u201cThere was no way to save anybody, because once that happened, it was over.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Authorities said that two people in the car were pronounced dead at the scene. The people in the other vehicle weren\u2019t seriously hurt.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">\u201cI saw a fire and then a lot of police, no lights and people race down the street all the time,\u201d witness Carlos Cusco said. \u201cAnd then I saw there was a car. I didn\u2019t know what kind of car it was and a body on the on the floor.
