Miami answered in the 35th minute when <a href=\"https:\/\/miamihurricanes.com\/sports\/soc\/roster\/player\/crosby-nicholson\" title=\"Crosby Nicholson\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Crosby Nicholson<\/a> scored her second goal of the season off assists from <a href=\"https:\/\/miamihurricanes.com\/sports\/soc\/roster\/player\/amanda-peck\" title=\"Amanda Peck\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Amanda Peck<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/miamihurricanes.com\/sports\/soc\/roster\/player\/ciara-alcaron\" title=\"Ciara Alarcon\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Ciara Alarcon<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Less than four minutes later, Nicholson helped put the Hurricanes in front, assisting <a href=\"https:\/\/miamihurricanes.com\/sports\/soc\/roster\/player\/teegan-melenhorst\" title=\"Teegan Melenhorst\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Teegan Melenhorst<\/a>\u2019s first goal of the season alongside <a href=\"https:\/\/miamihurricanes.com\/sports\/soc\/roster\/player\/alessia-saia\" title=\"Alessia Saia\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Alessia Saia<\/a>. Miami carried the 2-1 advantage into halftime.<\/p>\n<p>Clemson tied the match in the 56th minute before scoring again in the 60th to take a 3-2 lead it held for the remainder of the match.<\/p>\n<p>Clemson finished with an 8-6 edge in shots and a 6-3 advantage in shots on goal. Miami earned four corner kicks to Clemson\u2019s two, and goalkeeper <a href=\"https:\/\/miamihurricanes.com\/sports\/soc\/roster\/player\/atlee-olofson\" title=\"Atlee Olofson\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Atlee Olofson<\/a> recorded three saves in 90 minutes of action.<\/p>\n<p>The Hurricanes next matchup will be on the road at Pittsburgh on Saturday, Oct. 3.
