{"id":410628,"date":"2026-09-25T20:00:21","date_gmt":"2026-09-25T20:00:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/410628\/"},"modified":"2026-09-25T20:00:21","modified_gmt":"2026-09-25T20:00:21","slug":"cherokee-county-authorities-searching-for-man-following-swat-standoff","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/410628\/","title":{"rendered":"Cherokee County authorities searching for man following SWAT standoff"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"text | article-text\">CHEROKEE COUNTY, Texas (KLTV) &#8211; Authorities in Cherokee County are searching for a man who is considered armed and dangerous after a SWAT standoff, according to the sheriff\u2019s office.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The Cherokee County Sheriff\u2019s Office said that law enforcement are searching for Andrew Morgan, 39, of Jacksonville Friday after a standoff Thursday night.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"figure-img img-fluid mx-auto d-block\" fetchpriority=\"low\" loading=\"lazy\" alt=\"Andrew Morgan, 39, of Jacksonville.\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/LK3HA53K4RCZTIBMLGXR6LCQ4M.png\" width=\"980\" height=\"551\" \/>Andrew Morgan, 39, of Jacksonville.(Cherokee County Sheriff&#8217;s Office)<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The sheriff\u2019s office said the regional SWAT team attempted to serve arrest warrants on Morgan when he fled into his home in the area of County Road 1628 between Jacksonville and Rusk and a standoff ensued.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">SWAT team members searched Morgan\u2019s house after obtaining a search warrant and despite clearing the house, Morgan was not found.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">According to the sheriff\u2019s office, law enforcement officers are actively searching for Morgan. Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is asked to contact the CCSO or their local law enforcement agency.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Morgan is considered armed and dangerous.
