But while we’d love to check out all the best dining options our city has to offer, it can be overwhelming. Thankfully, the reporters and editors at The New York Times spent the last 12 months scouting restaurants across the country for their annual The Restaurant List, with one Little Havana spot taking center stage.

The Times shared that its team of 16 traveled from small-town Wisconsin to downtown Manhattan to curate their 50 favorite eateries. Unlike a traditional ranking, the restaurants aren’t ordered from No. 1 to No. 50, and an establishment won’t appear again if it made it onto a previous list.

Which Miami restaurant is among the 50 best in the nation?

Representing Miami and serving as one of just two Florida restaurants to make this year’s list (the other being Safety Harbour’s The Tides Market) is Tin Tin. Described as a more ambitious “big sister” to the beloved Tinta y Café, the restaurant takes Latin-European fusion to a new level.

The NYT highlighted chefs and co-owners Sachi Statz and Victor Santos for their ambitious cooking that blends their shared Cuban heritage with French and Italian traditions. With standout dishes like malanga gnocchi cacio e pepe and a reimagined Cuban sandwich served as a wagyu beef carpaccio, the publication also specifically praised the snapper fillet under aerated potato purée and the yellowtail crudo with coconut leche de tigre “that looks like stained glass.”

“Tin Tin’s eye-catching food could hold its own at the velvet rope restaurants in neighborhoods like Brickell, Wynwood or South Beach,” food reporter Brett Anderson writes. “But Tin Tin is separate from that scene, geographically and aesthetically.”

“You’ll leave wondering why we aren’t all eating ropa vieja-stuffed tortellini and jamón serrano with pressed papaya. It’s the kind of outstanding Latin-European bistro food you’d expect to find exactly here, in Little Havana — but haven’t, until now,” Anderson continues.

Tin Tin is located at 2555 SW 8th St Ste 101 and open for dinner from Tuesday through Saturday (4:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.), as well as Sunday brunch (11 a.m. to 4 p.m.). If you’re looking for a deal, happy hour runs from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesdays through Saturdays.

Visit their website for more information.

If there’s one thing Miami is going to do, it’s give us endless opportunities to stuff our faces…

[15
225,227,226
post-410634","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-hialeah","tag-hialeah","tag-hialeah-headlines","tag-hialeah-news
["GET
