BOSTON \u2014 Mother Nature is forcing the Chicago Cubs to take a detour en route to the postseason<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Because of the incoming nor\u2019easter hitting the Boston area starting Friday night, the Cubs regular-season finale Sunday against the Red Sox is being moved from Fenway Park to Tropicana Field in Tampa, Fla. The game is scheduled for 2:05 p.m. CT.<\/p>\n

Both teams are departing following Friday\u2019s doubleheader. They will be off Saturday, then play Sunday to align with all the rest of MLB\u2019s final games of the regular season that afternoon.<\/p>\n

The Cubs still don\u2019t know where they will be traveling to after Sunday\u2019s game ahead of their best-of-three wild-card series<\/a> that starts Tuesday.<\/p>\n

After the Red Sox swept the doubleheader Friday, the Cubs need help to host the wild-card series at Wrigley Field. They must win their regular-season finale against the Red Sox on Sunday and have the San Diego Padres lose all three games against the Arizona Diamondbacks this weekend.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe more you try to control in this game, typically, for one, the least amount of fun it is, but also it\u2019s impossible and so sometimes these situations, like, there\u2019s not much you can do about it,\u201d Game 1 starter Clay Holmes said. \u201cYou can\u2019t control this. We\u2019re going to show up and do the things that we can, and whatever that is, wherever that is, we\u2019re going to go play.
