(WWSB) &#8211; A statement released by the MacDill Air Force public affairs office said a civilian has been detained after allegedly breaching the base perimeter and getting into a confrontation with security.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The incident occurred around 1 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 26, officials said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">After being detained, the suspect, as well as an officer, were taken and treated for non-life-threatening injuries.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">MacDill AFB announced that its Dale Mabry gate was closed to inbound and outbound traffic on Saturday afternoon.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The Bayshore gate remains open.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">No further details were immediately provided.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">This is an ongoing investigation.<\/p>\n<p>Copyright 2026 WWSB.
