LARGO, Fla. (WFLA) \u2014 One person died after an RV camper caught fire in a Largo neighborhood early on Sunday, officials said.<\/p>\n

A spokesperson for the Pinellas Park Police Department said the fire occurred on Tree Street in Largo, which mainly consists of mobile and manufactured homes as well as RVs. <\/p>\n

Fires can spread much faster in these types of homes due to their lighter construction materials and tighter spaces, according to safety tips<\/a> shared by Miami-Dade County. <\/p>\n

The camper was parked in the yard of one of the homes, and the fire caused minor damage to neighboring structures.<\/p>\n

Pinellas Park fire rescue crews responded to the residence at around 1:45 a.m. on Sept. 27, PPPD said. Largo and Seminole fire rescue assisted in the response. <\/p>\n

The victim was found dead inside the camper after the fire was extinguished, the police department said. Two other people were evaluated at the scene and declined further treatment.<\/p>\n

The person has not been identified publicly as officials work to notify their next of kin. <\/p>\n

At this time, the cause of the fire is believed to be accidental.
