Motorcyclist killed in crash on Goldenrod Road in Orange County, FHP says<\/p>\n

\"Meaghan<\/a>ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. \u2014<\/p>\n

A motorcyclist was killed in a crash Sunday night on Goldenrod Road in Orange County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.<\/p>\n

The crash happened just before 7:30 p.m. at Goldenrod Road (SR-551) and Rio Pinar Lakes Boulevard.<\/p>\n

According to FHP, a 54-year-old man was driving a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee southbound on Goldenrod Road in the left-turn lane near Rio Pinar Lakes Boulevard.<\/p>\n

At the same time, a 24-year-old Orlando man was riding a 2015 KTM motorcycle northbound on Goldenrod Road in the outside lane.<\/p>\n

Troopers say the Jeep driver turned left directly into the motorcycle’s path, and the two collided.<\/p>\n

Both drivers were taken to a hospital, FHP said. <\/p>\n

The motorcycle rider was pronounced dead.<\/p>\n
