JACKSONVILLE, Fla \u2014 Emo Night Karaoke is coming back to the Bold City. The karaoke event will be at Jack Rabbits on October 3.<\/p>\n
\u201cEmo Night Karaoke is basically a live-band karaoke kind of thing,\u201d said guitarist and emcee Chris Pennings. \u201c[W]e have an iPad there where you can sign up to sing a song, and then we throw it into the lottery and pick as many songs as we possibly can in the allotted time we have, which is usually at least three hours, and we\u2019ll go one after another and just plow through them and play as many songs as we can.\u201d<\/p>\n
Some of the songs featured on the playlist include \u201cI\u2019m Not Okay (I Promise)\u201d by My Chemical Romance, \u201cMisery Business\u201d by Paramore, \u201cI Write Sins Not Tragedies\u201d by Panic! At the Disco, \u201cKing for a Day\u201d by Pierce the Veil, and \u201cA Decade Under the Influence\u201d by Taking Back Sunday. Besides playing popular emo songs, Pennings said Emo Night Karaoke is adding heavier songs, like \u201cToxicity\u201d by System of a Down and \u201cBreak Stuff\u201d by Limp Bizkit. <\/p>\n
