Officials say the person, who did not have base access, &#8220;violently engaged&#8221; the security officers.<\/p>\n<p>The suspect, as well as an officer, were transported for non-life-threatening injuries.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>MacDill AFB\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/share\/p\/1ER431SkuT\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">announced on its social media\u00a0<\/a>that its Dale Mabry gate was closed to inbound and outbound traffic Saturday afternoon. The Bayshore remained open during the closure.<\/p>\n<p>As of Sunday morning, the Dale Mabry gate is back open.<\/p>\n<p>No further details were immediately provided.<\/p>\n<p>An investigation is ongoing.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Officials say the person, as well as the officer, were both transported for non-life-threatening injuries.
