FORT PIERCE \u2013 A 23-year-old man was jailed on Sept. 22 after he allegedly struck a car at South 25th Street and Indiana Avenue in Fort Pierce and then fled the scene, according to Fort Pierce Police reports.<\/p>\n
At about 10 a.m., Sept. 22, officers responded to that intersection after receiving reports of a hit-and-run crash, according to police reports.<\/p>\n
Investigators learned that a black Kia was being driven recklessly when it struck the rear of a car stopped at a traffic light, according to police reports.<\/p>\n
The Kia\u2019s driver, later identified as Samuel Ray Girard, fled the scene but was soon located and taken to the St. Lucie County jail.<\/p>\n
