{"id":413588,"date":"2026-09-29T09:00:49","date_gmt":"2026-09-29T09:00:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/413588\/"},"modified":"2026-09-29T09:00:49","modified_gmt":"2026-09-29T09:00:49","slug":"armada-must-pay-full-price-for-downtown-stadium-land-after-missing-deadline","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/413588\/","title":{"rendered":"Armada must pay full price for Downtown stadium land after missing deadline"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Jacksonville Armada will have to pay full market price for land planned for its Downtown stadium, the city of Jacksonville informed the team Sept. 22.<\/p>\n<p>That decision came after <a href=\"https:\/\/jaxtoday.org\/2026\/06\/29\/askjaxtdy-jacksonville-armada-stadium\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/jaxtoday.org\/2026\/06\/29\/askjaxtdy-jacksonville-armada-stadium\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">the soccer club failed to develop the land<\/a> at 1034 Albert St. Under an agreement with the city in which the club received 6.56 acres for $1, the club had until Sept. 1, 2026, to reach \u201csubstantial completion\u201d of the property.<\/p>\n<p>According to the letter sent by the city, the team can have the property appraised itself.
