SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. \u2014 Seminole County Fire Rescue said crews recovered a body Monday evening after responding to a report of a person who went underwater at Wekiva Springs State Park.<\/p>\n

Fire officials said the call came in around 7:13 p.m. at Wekiva Island Bar, located at 1014 Miami Springs Drive in Longwood.<\/p>\n

According to officials, a witness reported seeing someone go underwater and not resurface before calling 911.<\/p>\n

Rescue crews searched the area and located the person\u2019s body. The individual was pronounced dead at the scene, officials said.<\/p>\n

The person\u2019s identity has not been released.<\/p>\n

Fire officials said there is no indication the incident involved an alligator attack.<\/p>\n

Channel 9 has a crew headed to the scene and is working to gather additional information.<\/p>\n
