CAPE CORAL, Fla. (WINK) \u2014\u00a0Tito’s Cantina Mexican Restaurant in Cape Coral announced it will close its doors on Monday after three years in business.<\/p>\n
The bar opened in 2023 and was founded by UFC Hall of Famer Tito Ortiz.<\/p>\n
Ortiz said the community welcomed him and made him feel like part of the neighborhood.<\/p>\n
“We met incredible people, made lifelong friends, celebrated birthdays, anniversaries, holidays and countless fight nights together,” Ortiz said. “Most importantly, you welcomed us and made us feel like we were truly part of this community, like we were one of your own.”<\/p>\n
Ortiz said challenges arose this past year after a boating accident, and his injuries and surgery kept him from being at the restaurant as he had been before.<\/p>\n
Ortiz thanked the staff for their work over the past three years. He also thanked customers who supported the family-owned restaurant.<\/p>\n
“Thank you to every person who walked through our doors,” Ortiz said. “Thank you to our regulars who became friends.”<\/p>\n
Ortiz said he will be at the restaurant every day during the final week to meet with customers, take pictures and say goodbye. The restaurant will offer drink specials, food specials, and merchandise sales, including T-shirts, sweatshirts, and hats.<\/p>\n
Anyone interested in purchasing Tito’s Cantina can speak with the owners at the restaurant during the final week.<\/p>\n
The restaurant will host a fight night on Saturday. They’ll also be serving customers for the last time on Sunday.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"CAPE CORAL, Fla.
