PORT ST. LUCIE – A Port St. Lucie man is behind bars charged with sexual assault of a girl between 12 and 18 years old.

Jean Emile Revange, 51, of Port St. Lucie, is charged with three counts of someone over 18 committing sexual battery on a person older than 12 years but younger than 18 with no physical force and violence, according to a Port St. Lucie Police arrest affidavit.

He was in St. Lucie County Jail as of Sept. 30 on a $300,000 bond, according to the jail web site.

The investigation, which includes Port St. Lucie Police and the state Department of Children and Families, began on Sept. 22, when a 16-year-old girl complained of abdominal and vaginal pain, to the point where she was having difficulty walking.

While being treated at St. Lucie Medical Center, the girl disclosed that Revange allegedly sexually assaulted her. Staff members then contacted the state Department of Children and Families.

The girl was subsequently transferred to the pediatric care unit at HCA Lawnwood Medical Center in Fort Pierce, where a Port St. Lucie Police officer subsequently met with the girl on Sept. 26.

She told the officer that she and her family moved into the Port St. Lucie house in November 2024 where Revange, a cousin of her father’s, and Revange’s wife already lived.

The girl told staff at the hospital that Revange “had engaged in inappropriate sexual conduct with her,” it was stated in the arrest affidavit.

During a sexual assault examination by representatives of the Children’s Advocacy Center, the girl told them that Revange kissed her and touched different parts of her body, according to the arrest affidavit.

She also said that Revange told her their activity should be kept secret, according to the arrest affidavit.

An officer then conducted a phone call with Revange at the Port St. Lucie Police Department. Revange, at first, denied the allegations but then admitted that he did engage in sexual activity with the girl, but could not recall when it started, according to the arrest affidavit.

Revange was then placed under arrest and taken to the county jail.

PORT ST.
