(WINK) \u2014 The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.winknews.com\/search\/?l=25&amp;s=start_time&amp;sd=desc&amp;f=html&amp;t=article%2Cvideo%2Cyoutube%2Ccollection&amp;app=editorial&amp;nsa=eedition&amp;q=Lee+County+Sheriff%27s+Office\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Lee County Sheriff&#8217;s Office<\/a> provided an update Tuesday on the death of K-9 Dundee, who died Monday after helping deputies apprehend a person who fled from a vehicle in North Fort Myers.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">LCSO said there were no outward signs of trauma to Dundee. According to LCSO, Dundee tracked and apprehended the person in a wooded area before becoming unresponsive.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Dundee was transported to BluePearl Pet Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.<\/p>\n<p>Three people who were inside the vehicle \u2014 Brooklyn Simison, 19, Zahquavion Jackson, 19, and Aaron Silva-Fernandez, 18 \u2014 face various charges. A fourth person, who was a minor and fled from the vehicle, was also arrested but has not been identified.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"LEE COUNTY, Fla.
