Events Director Josh Gunderson. \u201cGetting to welcome Toys\u2019R\u2019Us to Oviedo Mall year-round feels incredibly special.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-dLMFU sc-fHjqPf jbiTJv kYFPaL article-text\">Like many other shopping centers, the Oviedo Mall has struggled to reinvent itself, though news broke earlier this year that the mall has secured the required agreements to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.clickorlando.com\/news\/local\/2026\/07\/08\/oviedo-mall-apartments-approved-demolition-of-former-macys-could-begin-within-90-days\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.clickorlando.com\/news\/local\/2026\/07\/08\/oviedo-mall-apartments-approved-demolition-of-former-macys-could-begin-within-90-days\/\">move forward with roughly 700 apartments on the property<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-dLMFU sc-fHjqPf jbiTJv kYFPaL article-text\">[RELATED: Crazy Hot Buys closing at Oviedo Mall months after opening]<\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-dLMFU sc-fHjqPf jbiTJv kYFPaL article-text\">Those apartments are part of a broader effort to revitalize the mall with an evolving mix of shopping, dining, entertainment and community experiences, according to officials.<\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-dLMFU sc-fHjqPf jbiTJv kYFPaL article-text\">While that project continues, Toys\u201dR\u201dUs revealed its new store is expected to open in the fall \u2014 likely early October \u2014 with an official opening date set to be announced soon.<\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-dLMFU sc-fHjqPf jbiTJv kYFPaL article-text\">\u201cOnline shopping is convenient, but opening a cardboard box on your porch isn\u2019t quite the same as being a kid standing in a toy store surrounded by possibilities,\u201d Gunderson added. \u201cWe want Oviedo Mall to be a place where people actually want to spend their time, and Toys\u2019R\u2019Us fits beautifully into that.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-dLMFU sc-fHjqPf jbiTJv kYFPaL article-text\">Other information, such as store hours and opening celebrations, has not been provided at this time.<\/p>\n<p>Copyright 2026 by WKMG ClickOrlando &#8211;
