DAVIS ISLANDS, Fla. (WFLA) \u2013 Amari Santana, a 17-year-old teenager with autism, has been found safe after multiple days of searching. <\/p>\n
The Pinellas County Sheriff\u2019s Office, as well as over 100 volunteers, spent the last few days attempting to locate the young man, who was last seen near Dunedin\u2019s Edgewater Park Sunday night.<\/p>\n
Santana was spotted near the University of Tampa\u2019s campus by passerby who recognized his face from social media. He was later found at Peter O. Knight Airport on Davis Islands. <\/p>\n
It is unclear exactly how Santana made it from Pinellas to Hillsborough County.<\/p>\n
The young man was disoriented, dehydrated, hungry, and exhausted, but is expected to be ok.<\/p>\n
