She said she does not think a 20% loss in funding could be made up through donations alone.

Nour Kawa, who is working on her Ph.D., said she could study at her university library but prefers the Miami-Dade Public Library branch in Coral Gables.

“They’ve given me space. Maria Ason said Amendment 3 could mean savings on housing costs.

“It will be of benefit one way or another, whether it’s big or small,” Ason said.

Ason said she believes the library could still function through other funding methods, such as donations or subscriptions.

In:

Amendment 3 could cut almost 20% of Miami-Dade County’s library budget, according to the executive director of Friends…

[9
15586,10428,113,123,125,124,1064,7074,807,8527
post-416435","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-miami","tag-books","tag-coral-gables","tag-education","tag-miami","tag-miami-headlines","tag-miami-news","tag-miami-dade","tag-property-taxes","tag-south-florida","tag-taxes
["GET
