JACKSONVILLE, Fla. \u2014 A person was wounded early Thursday in a shooting on Jacksonville\u2019s Westside. It occurred at about 2:49 a.m. in the 6000 block of Youngerman Circle. <\/p>\n
Officers were called to the location for a report of a person shot. When police arrived, they located the victim and detained a person of interest, a Jacksonville police news release states.<\/p>\n
\u201cPreliminary investigation revealed that an altercation between the two occurred, and ultimately gunfire erupted,\u201d the news release states.<\/p>\n
