(WFLA) \u2014 The City of Tampa recognized a member of WFLA on Thursday, &#8220;Bucified Burt.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">&#8220;Bucified Burt&#8221; is known as a superfan for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Members of Tampa City Council voted unanimously to honor Burt for his work in the community over the last 30 years.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Every year since 2004, Burt has given out scholarships to high school students to honor his mother&#8217;s legacy.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">So far there have been 21 &#8220;Bucified&#8221; and &#8220;OLE is Alive&#8221; recipients.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">&#8220;Yeah, I don&#8217;t have my mom here but I do have some others here that care about the program that came over to support the &#8216;Bucified&#8217; and &#8216;OLE is Alive&#8217; program this morning,&#8221; said Albert Owens, the man behind &#8220;Bucified Burt.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Copyright 2026 Nexstar Media, Inc.
