Scattered showers and storms are expected Saturday and Sunday, with most of the downpours in the evening. FOX 35 Storm Team meteorologist Brooks Garner is tracking the rain.<\/p>\n<p data-v-94395e58=\"\">ORLANDO, Fla. &#8211; It&#8217;s fall, but it doesn&#8217;t feel like it at all in Florida.<\/p>\n<p data-v-94395e58=\"\">It is a muggy start to your Friday with partly to mostly cloudy skies.<\/p>\n<p data-v-94395e58=\"\">Scattered to numerous afternoon storms remain possible Friday afternoon, so grab the rain jacket.<\/p>\n<p data-v-94395e58=\"\">The Metro and Westward area especially will see a higher chance of showers and storms later this evening.<\/p>\n<p> <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/wx-gfx-100226-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" loading=\"lazy\" fetchpriority=\"auto\" width=\"932\" height=\"524\" data-v-2fe2fe3e=\"\"\/>  <\/p>\n<p data-v-94395e58=\"\">Afternoon storms could produce gusty winds and locally heavy downpours.<\/p>\n<p data-v-94395e58=\"\">The best chance of rain on Friday will be between 2 and 7 p.m.<\/p>\n<p> <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/wx-gfx-100226-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" loading=\"lazy\" fetchpriority=\"auto\" width=\"932\" height=\"524\" data-v-2fe2fe3e=\"\"\/>  Rain continues for the weekend <\/p>\n<p data-v-94395e58=\"\">It won&#8217;t be a washout of a weekend, but there will be showers.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p data-v-94395e58=\"\">The peak of the daily rain chances will likely end up west of our area towards Tampa, but areas west of Orlando could see some heavy rain.<\/p>\n<p original-article-post=\"\" origination_station=\"WOFL\" data-v-ec26887a=\"\" data-v-94395e58=\"\">How hot will it get?:<\/p>\n<p data-v-94395e58=\"\">With the higher temps and the higher humidity, heat indices will max out in the low triple digits.
