Roads were closed in Wilton Manors for hours after \u201csuspicious packages\u201d were found Friday morning at two businesses on Northeast 26th Street, police said.<\/p>\n

The manager of a Starbucks in the 1500 block of Northeast 26th Street<\/a> reported shortly before 9:30 a.m. that an unknown person left a blue duffel bag unattended on the store\u2019s patio and that the business had received a bomb threat on Thursday, according to police radio communications archived by the site Broadcastify. All traffic was shutdown on Northeast 26th Street within half an hour.<\/p>\n

At least one other package was reported at a nearby Truist Bank branch, according to a news release from Wilton Manors Police on Friday afternoon.<\/p>\n

Fort Lauderdale Police\u2019s Bomb Squad investigated, along with Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue, and determined the packages were \u201cnon-explosive,\u201d the news release said.<\/p>\n

The police department did not provide additional details about what was in the packages or say whether any suspect or suspects have been identified or detained.<\/p>\n
