The event supports Southwest Florida families facing cancer and blood disorders at Lee Health Golisano Children\u2019s Hospital<\/p>\n
The fashion show will be held Thursday, Dec. 10, at the Hyatt Regency Coconut Point Resort and Spa in Bonita Springs<\/p>\n
It brings together fashion, philanthropy and community with proceeds benefitting Barbara’s Friends \u2013 Golisano Children’s Cancer Fund.<\/a><\/p>\n The fund has helped more than 12,000 children and families facing cancer and blood disorders since 1995.<\/p>\n Barbara’s Friends supports specialized pediatric care, advanced treatments, family support and counseling, equipment, staffing and training that help children receive lifesaving treatment close to home.<\/p>\n “When a child is diagnosed with cancer, their entire family begins a journey they never expected,” Amy Helgeson, senior director of development for Lee Health Foundation, said.<\/p>\n \u00a0“This year\u2019s support of Barbara\u2019s Friends is an opportunity for our community to rally around local children and families, celebrate their resilience and help ensure they have access to exceptional care and support every step of the way.”<\/p>\n Barbara’s Friends supports Golisano Children\u2019s Pediatric hematology and oncology program that is the only one of its kind in Southwest Florida.<\/p>\n The fund helps provide critical resources that improve patient experience and outcomes.
