FORT PIERCE, Fla. (CBS12) \u2014 The St. Lucie County Sheriff\u2019s Office<\/a> is again warning visitors about alleged inappropriate activity at DJ Wilcox Preserve<\/a> in Fort Pierce.<\/p>\n

In a social media post Monday, the agency said it had received reports of inappropriate behavior at the preserve and reminded people that detectives know the area and arrests are public record.<\/p>\n

\u201cApparently, we need to talk about D.J. Wilcox Preserve again,\u201d the sheriff\u2019s office wrote.<\/p>\n

The post did not identify any new suspects or announce a new arrest. Instead, it served as a warning that the agency could again enforce laws at the preserve.<\/p>\n

\u201cPlease don\u2019t make us turn you into content,\u201d the sheriff\u2019s office wrote, adding, \u201cEnjoy the preserve. Do not become the wildlife.\u201d<\/p>\n

The warning follows a series of arrests CBS12 previously reported at the preserve near Old Dixie Highway in November 2025.<\/p>\n

The sheriff\u2019s office said then that undercover detectives went to the preserve following complaints of lewd and lascivious activity. Two elderly men were arrested <\/a>and charged with exposure of sexual organs after deputies said they allegedly exposed themselves or propositioned an undercover detective.<\/p>\n

A follow-up operation the next day led to the arrest an 83-year-old Port St. Lucie man<\/a> on the same charge, according to the sheriff\u2019s office.<\/p>\n
