The Republican nominee’s tour lands in Miami a month before the General Election.<\/p>\n

Byron Donalds will host a community cookout in Miami on Saturday, the latest stop on his \u201cDefending the Florida Dream\u201d tour.<\/p>\n

The event begins at 12:30 p.m. at The Urban, 1000 NW 2nd Ave., in Overtown.<\/p>\n

Donalds kicked off the tour<\/a> in The Villages in April. He launched Latinos for Byron<\/a> at Hialeah Park in May and introduced state Sen. Bryan Avila of Hialeah as his running mate<\/a> at the Freedom Tower in August.<\/p>\n

Donalds held a town hall at Florida A&M University on Tuesday. Democratic City Commissioners Cynthia Chestnut of Gainesville and Anne Huffman of Haines City have endorsed him. A St. Pete Polls survey for Florida Politics had Donalds at 16% with Black voters<\/a> and the race at 44% to 43%<\/a> over Democrat David Jolly.<\/p>\n

Jolly has declined to debate<\/a> Donalds. The Donalds campaign released a 60-second ad<\/a> arguing Jolly has been debating himself for years. As of Sept. 11, Donalds had nearly $44 million<\/a> on hand to Jolly\u2019s roughly $6.3 million.<\/p>\n
