(WSVN) &#8211; Days after the <a href=\"https:\/\/wsvn.com\/news\/local\/broward\/miramar-man-released-from-jail-after-wrongful-arrest-in-grand-theft-investigation\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/wsvn.com\/news\/local\/broward\/miramar-man-released-from-jail-after-wrongful-arrest-in-grand-theft-investigation\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">wrongful arrest<\/a> of a Miramar resident for grand theft, a new man facing the felony charge made an appearance in court Saturday morning.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The man, Shaquille Palmer, is accused of stealing over $150,000 in designer handbags from a social media influencer.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Police say Palmer had given them a different last name, leading to the Sept. 30 arrest of Shaquille Grant instead.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Grant was released after police realized the mistake.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Palmer was <a href=\"https:\/\/wsvn.com\/news\/local\/broward\/suspect-in-custody-after-erroneous-arrest-snafu-in-connection-to-270k-grand-theft-in-miramar\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/wsvn.com\/news\/local\/broward\/suspect-in-custody-after-erroneous-arrest-snafu-in-connection-to-270k-grand-theft-in-miramar\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">brought into custody<\/a> Friday night.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">His bond was set at $150,000.<\/p>\n<p>Copyright 2026 Sunbeam Television Corp.
