A Florida father fatally stabbed his teenage twins before taking his own life in a gut-wrenching double murder-suicide, according to police.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Ivan Montiel Roa, 63, carried out the deadly attack against his children, Carlo and Melanie Montiel Infantino, both 17, inside their Orlando apartment, the Orange County Sheriff\u2019s Office announced Friday in a news release.<\/p>\n
Officials said they discovered the grim scene \u2013 the two teens\u2019 bloodied bodies with multiple stab wounds lying in the living room, and Montiel Roa inside the master bedroom \u2013\u00a0 on Wednesday after a concerned neighbor called 911 for a wellness check because they\u00a0hadn\u2019t seen the family in about a week.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cAt this time, detectives believe Ivan murdered Carlo and Melanie and then committed suicide,\u201d authorities said.<\/p>\n
Police did not reveal when they believed the horrific killings occurred or how the father killed himself.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere are no words that can make sense of a loss like this,\u201d said Florida Rep. Rita Harris, who lives near the Courtney Chase Apartment Homes, where the family lived.<\/p>\n
\u201cI am also thinking of the first responders and law enforcement officers who carry the weight of what they encounter in service to our community.\u201d<\/p>\n
According to public records, Montiel Roa\u2019s wife and Carlo and Melanie\u2019s mother died in June. The family was from Venezuela, according to her obituary.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Montiel Roa was a realtor, according to his Facebook. He also had a construction business that was dissolved on Sept. 25, the Orlando Sentinel<\/a> reported<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n He had an unsettling social media presence \u2013 reposting wild conspiracy theories and sentiments about a \u201cnew world order\u201d on Facebook.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cIntroduce a little anarchy, alter the established order and everything turns into chaos.
