{"id":418611,"date":"2026-10-04T18:08:07","date_gmt":"2026-10-04T18:08:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/418611\/"},"modified":"2026-10-04T18:08:07","modified_gmt":"2026-10-04T18:08:07","slug":"man-struck-killed-by-train-in-osceola-county-fhp-says-orlando-sentinel","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/418611\/","title":{"rendered":"Man struck, killed by train in Osceola County, FHP says \u2013 Orlando Sentinel"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A man was killed in Osceola County on Saturday night after being hit and killed by a train, the Florida Highway Patrol said.<\/p>\n<p>According to a news release from the FHP, around 7:20 p.m. the train was traveling northbound in Osceola just west of Michigan Avenue and approaching Garden Street when an adult man was spotted walking inside the tracks.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe conductor attempted to avoid a collision and applied the emergency brake \u2026 but was unable to come to a controlled stop,\u201d the FHP said.
