FORT MYERS, Fla. (WINK) \u2014 A flood advisory is in effect until 7:30 p.m. for parts of Lee County including Gateway, Downtown Fort Myers and North Fort Myers.<\/p>\n
According to the National Weather Service Tampa, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain from thunderstorms at 5:58 p.m. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain have already fallen.<\/p>\n
An additional 1 to 2 inches of rain are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.<\/p>\n
Locations that will experience flooding include Fort Myers, East Dunbar, Buckingham, Lochmoor Waterway Estates, Palmona Park, Tice, Gateway, Suncoast Estates and North Fort Myers.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"FORT MYERS, Fla.
