As charges of lewd and lascivious behavior against a Coral Gables personal injury attorney remain pending in criminal court, professional consequences have begun.<\/p>\n

The state Supreme Court granted the Florida Bar\u2019s petition for interim suspension \u2014 a petition to which Jackson Lainez filed a notice of no opposition \u2014 and the head of \u201cAction Jackson Law\u201d<\/a> will be sidelined as a lawyer beginning Oct. 24.<\/p>\n

Lainez, 48, is charged with one count of lewd and lascivious exhibition on a child under 16 by someone 18 or over, and two counts of lewd and lascivious conduct on a child under 16 years of age by someone 18 or over. He was arrested Feb. 5 and was released after posting $15,000 bond.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are actively litigating the case, and look forward to Mr. Lainez being exonerated of these allegations,\u201d Eric Schwartzreich, Lainez\u2019s defense attorney, said in an email to the Miami Herald.<\/p>\n

Lainez\u2019s arrest came 15 months and 11 days after his wife first contacted Miami Springs police, who turned over the investigative lead to the Miami-Dade Sheriff\u2019s Office\u2019s special victims unit.<\/p>\n

\u201cThese charges stem from [Lainez\u2019s] recorded admissions, in which he described performing sexual acts\u201d with and in front of two boys, the Florida Bar\u2019s petition for interim suspension said.<\/p>\n

Lainez\u2019s wife obtained the recordings on Sept. 12, 2024, and reported the issue to Miami Springs police on Oct. 25, 2024.<\/p>\n

The arrest affidavit says Lainez\u2019s attorney filed a motion \u201cto exclude, suppress and strike\u201d the recordings on Sept. 19, 2025. A judge denied the motion on Dec. 22, 2025.<\/p>\n

DCF gave the recordings to police on Feb. 2. Lainez was arrested at his home on Feb. 5.<\/p>\n
