The New York Yankees<\/a> are one loss away from elimination after losing 5-2 in Game 2 of the ALDS against the Tampa Bay Rays<\/a> at Tropicana Field on Monday.<\/p>\n New York lost the first game of the series 1-0 at Tropicana Field on Saturday.<\/p>\n \n Right-hander Cam Schlittler<\/a> made the start for New York, allowing four runs (two earned) on six hits and one walk while striking out two over 4 1\/3 innings en route to suffering the loss. We didn\u2019t give him a good enough chance to really do his job\u201d <\/p>\n Third baseman Ryan McMahon<\/a>, second baseman Jazz<\/a> Chisholm Jr., catcher Austin Wells<\/a> and George Lombard Jr. each made an error in Monday\u2019s game.<\/p>\n Yankees Lose Game 2 of ALDS vs. Tampa Bay Rays<\/p>\n \n Rays right-hander Freddy Peralta<\/a> allowed just one earned run on three hits and one walk while striking out three over 4 2\/3 innings on Monday.<\/p>\n The Rays scored the first run of the game when Chisholm made a throwing error in an attempt to complete a double play in the bottom of the first inning.<\/p>\n Yankees continue to embarrass themselves, this time it\u2019s Jazz Chisholm Jr. trying to be a hero <\/p>\n Yankees designated hitter Ben Rice<\/a> tied the game with a solo home run in the top of the fourth inning.<\/p>\n Tampa Bay took the lead in the fifth inning on an RBI groundout from Liam Hicks<\/a>.<\/p>\n Chandler Simpson<\/a> drove in the Rays\u2019 third run of the game on a ground ball to shortstop George Lombard Jr. in the fifth inning.
