A man accused of stealing a vehicle in Miami while a victim was sleeping in the back was arrested on Monday, authorities said.<\/p>\n
Delvis Gonzalez, 50, was charged with kidnapping, burglary of an occupied dwelling and grand theft of a vehicle.<\/p>\n
According to authorities, one victim was at a baseball game while the second victim was sleeping in the back seat.<\/p>\n
An arrest report said that when the first victim came back to the parking lot, she noticed that it was missing, as well as the other victim. She then called 911.<\/p>\n
A witness then started to canvass the area and found the stolen vehicle parked at 22nd Place and Northwest Seventh Street with the second victim in the backseat, the report said.<\/p>\n
Officers, the report said, then arrived at the El Atlakat Restaurant, where they reviewed CCTV footage that showed Gonzalez leaving the vehicle from the stolen vehicle.<\/p>\n
Gonzalez was recognized as having prior transactions, the report said.<\/p>\n
Authorities then went to Gonzalez’s home, arrested him, and he told officers that he took the vehicle because he saw it still running, the report said.<\/p>\n
The first victim, the report said, told officers that her wallet, car key fob and credit card were missing. Officers then found a few stolen credit cards in the area where the car was left.<\/p>\n
