Comments showed appreciation for this human business, and people were also impressed by the food. “Food looks fire. Might have to stop by even if it’s a little far,” one user wrote. Another commented, “Those wings look HEAVENLY.”<\/p>\n
According to Su, the restaurant’s original Instagram page \u2014 which had topped 30,000 followers \u2014 was hacked by what he described as an AI profile. He told the station he got into the business in 1991, just after high school.<\/p>\n
“We spent thousands and thousands of dollars promoting the account. We tried to get in contact with Meta for three months. Every time they would answer, it was AI. No human ever got back to us,” Su said.<\/p>\n

Paul Pavlou, Dean of the University of Miami Business School, told CBS Miami, “At the macro level, we expect more jobs to be created by AI.”<\/p>\n
In Pavlou’s view, hospitality is less exposed than some industries to large near-term job losses because the work still relies heavily on people providing in-person service. He said Miami-area businesses are unlikely to see major disruption immediately, even as AI becomes more woven into daily life.<\/p>\n
Figures cited by CBS Miami show the World Economic Forum says AI integration has created 1.3 million jobs globally, while McKinsey & Company estimates 11 million workers will need to change occupations by 2035 because of AI-driven changes.<\/p>\n
Su is publicly drawing a line and telling customers his restaurant will not use AI.<\/p>\n
As adoption grows, Pavlou said decision-makers will need to handle two big risks: bad actors using the technology and AI systems behaving unpredictably.<\/p>\n
“I feel like I will never, as long as I’m alive, have a computer take over a human being’s job.”<\/p>\n
