A Florida 15-year-old was caught brazenly slamming a metal shovel onto the hood of a police cruiser with an officer inside, leading to her being charged with a felony. <\/p>\n

Amy Chance was arrested in a suburban neighborhood of Port St. Lucie on Nov. 3 after an officer arrived to investigate a disturbance at her family home caused by the teen, authorities wrote in a press release.<\/p>\n

Body cam footage released by the Port St. Lucie Police Department shows the shovel-wielding teen in the middle of the street and approaching the officer as he was sitting in his patrol car.<\/p>\n

She is then seen striking the vehicle multiple times, without appearing to have had any prior interaction with the cop.<\/p>\n

\u201cAre you kidding me?\u201d the officer is heard saying aloud before exiting his car, pulling out his taser, and ordering the 15-year-old to drop the shovel.<\/p>\n

With the taser pointing directly at her, the teen is seen mean-mugging the cop before dropping the shovel. <\/p>\n

Chance then flips off the cop and begins to walk away before the officer closes in on the teen and orders her to stop.<\/p>\n

\u201cGet on the f\u2013king ground,\u201d the officer calmly, but sternly tells Chance as he turns her around, makes her kneel on the pavement, and puts her in handcuffs. <\/p>\n

Authorities said the 15-year-old was taken into custody without incident.<\/p>\n

Chance is now facing a felony criminal mischief charge for causing more than $1,200 worth of damage to the patrol car.<\/p>\n

\u201cRegardless of age, resorting to intentional damage of people or property in our city will result in an arrest,\u201d the Port St. Lucie Police Department said in its press release.<\/p>\n

It remains unclear why police were called to Chance\u2019s home, and why she decided to strike the police cruiser.<\/p>\n

The 15-year-old\u2019s arrest comes nearly two months after a police officer in California fatally shot an unhinged man who charged at him with a shovel<\/a> in broad daylight outside an elementary school in Anaheim.<\/p>\n

An officer responded to a 911 call around 12:45 p.m. on Sept. 15 about a suspicious man, possibly under the influence, who was carrying a brick and a shovel. <\/p>\n

When the officer arrived, 36-year-old Rudy Anthony Martinez II spotted the patrol car across the intersection and charged toward it while wielding the shovel.<\/p>\n

The officer was barely out of his cruiser before the madman started swinging the implement, dashcam footage shows. <\/p>\n

The cop ordered Martinez to \u201csit down\u201d during the attack \u2014 warning him he\u2019s \u201cgonna get shot\u201d \u2014 if he doesn\u2019t stop his attack. Fearing for his safety, the officer fires two warning shots, but Martinez continues to charge. <\/p>\n

The Anaheim cop then opens fire on the crazed man with the shovel.
