The City of Cape Coral will hold a\u00a0North 3 UEP Homeowner Informational Meeting\u00a0from 5 to 8 p.m.\u00a0on\u00a0Monday, Oct. 19, \u00a0in Council Chambers at City Hall.<\/p>\n
This meeting is only for property owners in the Utilities Extension Project area and is not intended for property owners in other UEP areas or other locations within the city, city officials said in a release issued Wednesday,<\/p>\n
The meeting will be open-house style, so residents can come anytime from 5 to 8 p.m.<\/p>\n
\u201cNorth 3 property owners will have the opportunity to speak directly with City Finance staff about their individual assessment, available payment options, and eligibility for the hardship program,\u201d the release states. \u201cAssessment packets will be mailed to North 3 property owners in advance of the meeting. Attendees are encouraged to bring their packet for review and discussion.\u2019<\/p>\n
Representatives from several project-related areas will be available to answer questions, including:<\/p>\n
\t\u2022 Finance staff: Individual assessments, payment questions, and hardship-program eligibility.<\/p>\n
\t\u2022 Contractors: Construction activities, anticipated schedules, and property-specific work.<\/p>\n
\t\u2022 Species consultant: Environmental considerations and protected-species requirements.<\/p>\n
\t\u2022 Florida Department of Health representatives: Septic systems, public-health considerations, and regulatory requirements.<\/p>\n
\t\u2022 UEP staff: Overall project information, coordination, and next steps.<\/p>\n
The North 3 UEP is moving toward construction, which is anticipated to begin by the end of 2026 and continue for approximately two years, with completion anticipated by the end of 2028.<\/p>\n
Cape Coral City Hall is at 1015 Cultural Park Blvd. Council Chambers are on the second floor.<\/p>\n
