JACKSONVILLE, Fla. \u2013 News4JAX learned that the Jacksonville Sheriff\u2019s Office responded to a reported suspicious letter received at the Duval County Courthouse on Oct. 2.<\/p>\n

According to an incident report, the hazmat team was called out after a woman at the courthouse opened a character witness letter and reported feeling side effects.<\/p>\n

She reported eye irritation, dizziness, a headache, red palms and a rash after opening the letter. <\/p>\n

The letter was placed in a plastic bag until Jacksonville Fire Rescue and JSO arrived and performed a field test that revealed negative results.<\/p>\n
