Tickets are on sale for The Alliance for Florida\u2019s National Parks\u2019 annual Big Cypress Celebration, taking place Oct. 10, at Burns Lake Campground in Big Cypress National Preserve.<\/p>\n

The family-friendly event invites participants to explore one of South Florida\u2019s unique ecosystems while supporting conservation, education and visitor engagement programs across Florida\u2019s national parks. The event this year also marks a special milestone, as Big Cypress National Preserve celebrates its 52nd anniversary on Oct. 11, the day after the event.<\/p>\n

Proceeds from Big Cypress Celebration directly support education, exploration, conservation and visitor engagement programs in Everglades, Biscayne, and Dry Tortugas National Parks, and Big Cypress National Preserve. Big Cypress Celebration will take place at Burns Lake Campground, located at 18495 Burns Road in Ochopee.<\/p>\n

2. HAPPENING NOW: Farmer Mike\u2019s Fall Festival in Bonita Springs<\/p>\n

Celebrate the Halloween season with haunted and family-friendly corn mazes, a pumpkin patch, sunflower picking, games, food vendors, crafts and more.<\/p>\n

\"Corn<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s corn mazes have the theme \u201cThe Terrifying Strangers\u201d (haunted maze) and \u201cThe Journey to The Center of the EARTH” (family-friendly maze).<\/p>\n

\"Dylan3. SATURDAY: Cape Coral Bike Night<\/p>\n

The first Bike Night of the season brings rumbling motorcycles to downtown Cape Coral\/South Cape.<\/p>\n

Plus cold beer and hot food; vendors selling leather vests and bike gear; and live music from Moonstone Riders and headliner Hairdaze.<\/p>\n

From 5-10 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 10. Free. The block party stretches along Southeast 47th Terrace from Vincennes Street to Coronado Parkway, but it\u2019s mostly centered around Club Square.\u00a0<\/p>\n
