The central pressure of Isaias continues dropping, and the winds are slowly catching up. Max sustained winds according to the crews taking constant observations of the storms center come in around 70mph, which is only a few notches below the 74 sustained it needs for hurricane status. The NHC seems to be leaning in on the artificial intelligence models, zeroing in on the Florida panhandle as our landfall site. The problem we&#8217;re still faced with is determining if the wind shear will weaken it from hurricane status. According to the Hurricane Center, it could still be around category two strength. Otherwise, this storm will be staying far from us in Southwest Florida.
