{"id":422101,"date":"2026-10-08T09:34:22","date_gmt":"2026-10-08T09:34:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/422101\/"},"modified":"2026-10-08T09:34:22","modified_gmt":"2026-10-08T09:34:22","slug":"man-arrested-after-fight-over-gun-at-red-roof-inn-in-argyle-forest","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/422101\/","title":{"rendered":"Man arrested after fight over gun at Red Roof Inn in Argyle Forest"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"sc-dLMFU sc-fHjqPf jbiTJv kYFPaL article-text\">JACKSONVILLE, Fla. \u2013 A 49-year-old man was arrested in connection with a shooting that happened during a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.news4jax.com\/news\/local\/2026\/10\/01\/jacksonville-police-find-person-shot-early-thursday-morning-near-red-roof-inn-on-youngerman-circle\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.news4jax.com\/news\/local\/2026\/10\/01\/jacksonville-police-find-person-shot-early-thursday-morning-near-red-roof-inn-on-youngerman-circle\/\">fight over a gun at the Red Roof Inn on Youngerman Circle<\/a>, according to his arrest report. <\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-dLMFU sc-fHjqPf jbiTJv kYFPaL article-text\">The report said Kortez Ridgeway was arrested Oct. 1 after Darnell Evans was shot in the hip during a scuffle over a handgun at the inn on Youngerman Circle.<\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-dLMFU sc-fHjqPf jbiTJv kYFPaL article-text\">According to the report, Evans told police that three people were outside of his room making noise.
