TALLAHASEE, Fla.\u00a0\u2013 Alaya Rhodes<\/a> earned\u00a0her seventh double-double of the season, but it was not enough\u00a0as the Wildcats fell to Florida A&M 3-0 at the Al Lawson Center.

\n\"Header<\/p>\n

Florida A&M (9-9, 4-1) came out firing on all cylinders in the first set, taking a commanding 9-3 lead early on. They would increase the advantage to as many as nine before Bethune-Cookman (7-8, 3-2) attempted to chip away.<\/p>\n

The Wildcats were able to get within five, but their efforts proved futile, as the Rattlers held on to take set one.<\/p>\n

The second set saw FAMU once again get off to a good start, taking a 3-0 lead and never looking back. The Rattlers hit .367 as a team, compared to just .111 for the Wildcats.<\/p>\n

B-CU opened the third set with a 5-3 advantage, but Florida A&M quickly responded with a 9-0 scoring run to swing the momentum back in their favor.<\/p>\n

The Wildcats cut the deficit to four but were unable to get any closer. FAMU took the third set by a score of 25-13 to win the match.<\/p>\n

\n\tAlaya Rhodes<\/a> led the team in kills (15) and digs (12).
\n\tNola Hemphill<\/a> produced 17 assists and four digs.
\n\tThe Wildcats had just one total block, tying its lowest output of any game this season.
\n\tThe Rattlers outhit B-CU .316 to .081.
\n\tFAMU finished with six blocks and seven service aces.
\n\tThree Rattlers recorded 10+ kills. <\/p>\n

Bethune-Cookman returns home Friday to face Grambling State, beginning at 6 p.m. EST.
